About this fund

About the Funding

This funding is designed to support groups in offering free sessions as part of their wider holiday programme. It can be used to cover costs such as venue hire, food, transport and materials, and other expenses related to delivering activities with Aberdeen city.

There is no fixed limit on how much you can apply for, but most successful applications over the past year have been for £1,500 or less.

Some groups may receive part funding, meaning the grant will help cover the cost of a few sessions rather than the full programme. The aim is to make a wide range of activities accessible to families.

Who Can Apply?
Any community group based in Aberdeen City can apply for supplementary funding to help run activities for children and young people during the Easter school holidays.

Important Note

Make sure you complete all sections of the application form. Incomplete applications may not be fully considered.

Funding is available to supplement the delivery of Easter holiday activities for children and young people within Aberdeen between Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April 2026. Weekend activities will NOT be considered.

The fund will focus on providing FREE short, half-day and full-day activity-based opportunities within Aberdeen City for children and young people to take part in.

What is the criteria?

Aberdeen City Council funding is aimed at providing activities for children aged 5-14 from low income households.

  • Children from lone parent families
  • Children from ethnic minority families
  • Children from families which have 1 or more person with a disability or additional support needs (adult or child)
  • Children from families with a young parent (under 25)
  • Children from families with a child under 1 year old
  • Children from larger families (3+ children)

In addition, we ask:

  • That activities are free of charge
  • That provision includes lunch or at least a snack
  • That activities must take place within the City

You are responsible for managing bookings to your activities. We will advertise your project on Aberdeen City Council’s ‘ Easter in the City’ webpage to give everyone a fair opportunity to book the activity.

How do you apply?

Please fill out the form below and return by 15th February 2026

We let you know the outcome by 24th February 2026
