Introduction to Community Asset Transfer for Communities within Aberdeen

Introduction to Community Asset Transfer for Communities within Aberdeen

Are you based in Aberdeen and is your community considering taking on a public asset? Join this introductory webinar to find out about the Community Asset Transfer process.

We’ll be hearing from Ruth Evans, Community Ownership Support Service (COSS) Advisor at Development Trust Association Scotland (DTAS); Sandy Mathers, Aberdeen Council for Voluntary Organisations (ACVO) and Cate Armstrong, Aberdeen City Council.

Community Asset Transfer is a process that allows a community organisation to take over publicly owned land or buildings in a way that recognises the public benefits that the community use will bring. This transfer can be facilitated in different ways such as the transfer of Title for outright ownership, the use of a long-term lease, or management agreements.

There will be short presentations and plenty of time for questions.
