The Allotment Market Stall (TAMS)

We awarded £3,000 to this project.

TAMS collects excess produce from allotments and community gardens through Aberdeen to sell in Duthie, Seaton and Victoria park. Their aim is to reduce waste, make healthy local produce available and encourage and support people growing food. Half of all their proceeds are given to allotment sites for development and improvement. Customers benefit from reasonably priced produce as well as cooking and growing advice. Any unsold produce goes to food banks and other community groups. Due to social distancing regulations they will be hiring a van for home deliveries, introducing dedicated storage boxes for no-contact pick up of produce, hiring a space for a safer sorting and packing process and to purchase technology that will allow them to take no contact payments.
