CLAN Cancer Support

We awarded £3,000 to this project.

COVID-19 has halted so many aspects of people’s lives, but it has not and will not halt the devastating impact that cancer has on the individuals it affects. The pandemic has now created additional challenges for those going through cancer. These include; increased anxiety for those receiving a new diagnosis, anguish for friends and family who are unable to visit terminally ill loved ones, heightened concern for those who are considered immunocompromised due to cancer treatment among other things. CLAN’s support teams have noted deterioration in clients’ mental health and emotional wellbeing.

CLAN is a lifeline during a difficult and uncertain time and operates online and telephone support services and online participation events.
