Aberdeen Mosque and Islamic Centre SCI
We awarded £3,200 to this project.
During lockdown many people will have been suffering from bereavement, increased mental health issues as well as a lack of funds available to pay for funeral costs and services. Many people in Aberdeen do not have any family local to Aberdeen for support and may have lost their jobs and are having a hard time obtaining government support or benefits.
Aberdeen Mosque and Islamic centre is focused on aiding the elderly, students, ethnic minorities, vulnerable people and families in need during this time with emotional and financial support. This will include online and tele counselling, bereavement counselling, as well as help with funeral services and providing additional funds to cover funeral costs.
