ACVO & Volunteer Aberdeen COVID-19 Update

ACVO continues to operate as business as usual with our team following government advice and working from home.

Throughout this unprecedented period, we will continue to inform, represent, support, develop and crucially, navigate Aberdeen’s 3rd sector through this difficult time.

Already we have created the COVID-19 Directory resource which is full of information and advice on a range of topics that you may find useful.  We are regularly updating this list with information as we get it.  If you are offering a service or would like information distributed please do get in touch with our Communications Officer, Martyn Walker at martyn.walker@acvo.org.uk.

Many of you have had to postpone or cancel planned events.  We have created a resource for you to use to help plan your rescheduled events so that they do not clash with other 3rd Sector events which can be found here.

Everyone on my team have been overwhelmed by the communities response to COVID-19, from volunteers to organisations rallying around to help out in their communities and on behalf of the team I would like to say thank you to everyone.  If you would like to share your story with the wider sector, we would love for you to get in touch with us!

Volunteering has never been as crucial to our communities as it will be over the coming weeks and months and you can find information on how you can take part in your community at Volunteer Aberdeen.  We would ask however, that you bear in mind the current government advice on social isolation and distancing.

The team are here to help you answer any questions you may have from funding to development; volunteering to communications please do get in touch with us and we will do our best to help you.

Keep safe and keep well,

Maggie
