ACVO provides a range of services and opportunities for private sector businesses to pursue their business objectives while supporting the communities in which they work, recruit and commute. Whether in pursuit of corporate social responsibility policy, contributing to your employees continued personal development, offering your professional services, raising awareness of your activities, building your teams or supporting your charity committees, ACVO has the specialist team, experience, knowledge and networks. We have supported a range of individual business initiatives to reach local struggling charities or target those who can make the most effective use of your support – whether with cash or in kind donations. Big Aberdeen is a major movement across all sectors to address the city’s concerns and celebrate its communities. There is a project out there for every kind of business.
We have a Business Skilled Volunteer project. We have an Affiliation scheme for those professionals and others who want to do business with the sector. This is by invitation and application. We run the ACVO Awards which provide recognition of Friends of The Third Sector, Active Citizens etc, including awards for private businesses. We work with the independent care sector in relation to Reshaping Care for Older People.
We are a member of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce and participate in its Third Sector Network.
We are always interested in exploring with the business community ways of making links that work for your business and for our third sector clients.
Our teams provide a range of services and activities to help third sector organisations engage with the private sector – whether to trade goods and services as a social enterprise, recruit employee volunteers, raise funds or develop skills.
