Support Worker, Westerton Crescent
Part-time (28 hours per week)
VSA’s Westerton Crescent service was opened in February 1995. It is purpose-built to provide accommodation for nine adults with a history of severe and enduring mental health problems. They may also have a physical disability and require daily support from the staff team to motivate, empower and promote their self-esteem, while maintaining as much of their independence as possible.
We currently require a part-time Support Worker (28 hours per week) to join our dedicated team of support staff who work tirelessly to deliver the best of care to those within the service. In this rewarding role, you will provide a professional, caring and effective service to our service users. You will be part of a 4 week rolling rota, with an average of one sleep-in per week and an equal mix of early & late shifts. You will also be expected to work alternate weekends. Any prior experience would be welcome but is not essential as full on the job training will be provided. You must however be willing to undertake an SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent) if you do not already hold one.
If you have a genuine interest to work within social care or are simply seeking a change of direction we would welcome your application.
