Admin Assistant (SAMH)

In January 2017, SAMH introduced a new suite of services throughout the whole of Aberdeenshire to support people with mental health problems and those with Autism on their recovery journey. These new and exciting services will look and feel very different to the traditional models of support and will be based on fundamental principles of empowerment, resilience and hope.

Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity.  Today, SAMH operates 60 services in communities across Scotland providing mental health social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services among others.  These services, together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

As SAMH embark on this exciting new pathway, we are seeking outstanding people to begin developing and delivering these services across Aberdeenshire. To successfully embed the 6 elements of our new peripatetic service, SAMH are seeking flexible, enthusiastic people to work with individuals, groups and volunteers within local communities across Aberdeenshire.

15 hours, £16,478 – £16,612 (pro rata)

Your strong administration and IT skills will enable our services to deliver efficient and effective support to people across Aberdeenshire. You will be the first point of contact for people contacting our services and your welcoming and knowledgeable responses will be representative of the standards people can expect from SAMH. Your experience in updating website content and social media will help keep people updated and informed about events, information and support in their local communities.

Applications are welcome from people who have experienced mental health difficulties. A PVG check is required for this post, along with a Right to Work in the UK check. Candidates will also be required to provide proof of qualifications declared on the application form. A car driver and owner is essential for this post.
